RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY

We accept returns (for store credit only), or exchanges within 14 days of purchase.

When you are doing a return or exchange you must have your receipt or order number. We are unable to process an exchange or return without this information. If you are a regular shopper, we highly recommend always purchasing on your account, this way all your orders are tied to your account and you never have to worry about misplacing a receipt!

All tags must still be attached to the item and unworn/used. As always, all bath and body products, earrings, food items, intimate wear (including swimwear) and items that were on sale are all final sale. No exceptions.

Self serve returns can be processed through your account. As a small business, we accept returns for store credit only. (See more on this below)

*Pre-order items, seasonal items, custom items, and local boxes are never eligible for returns or exchanges due to the nature and planning required for those products.

 

EXCHANGING FOR A DIFFERENT SIZE

When you are wanting to exchange an item for a different size, we are not able to "pull" the item from the floor and website - it's not because we don't want to, it's because it literally is not possible with our system. Sorry!

If you are unable to come into the shops immediately (or you are worried someone is going to snag it), we encourage you to hop on to the website and purchase the size you are wanting to exchange for; In the cart comments let us know you are exchanging a size, and when you come into the store with the other size in the same item, we then can 'return/refund' you.

 

PRICE ADJUSTMENT POLICY

Being a small business we cannot offer price adjustments or price matching of any sort. In most situations vendors in the store make the prices for the products in the shop but from time to time their may be sales to make room for new products. If you purchase a product and then it goes on sale we cannot and will not offer a price adjustment. The sale or discounted pricing is purely based on the remaining stock and not on already purchased stock. Remember, you shop at The Local Space to support local.

If you obtain a discount code or coupon it must be present at time of purchase. Discounts and coupons cannot be added to an order after the fact, no exceptions. If you forget to use it or forgot to bring it with you, just bring it with you next time.

 

WHY WE DON'T OFFER CASH REFUNDS:

As a small business we have a store credit policy for returns rather than cash, as when our customers shop with us, we then take those funds and reorder from the small businesses that call our shop home. Because we are not a large business with a corporate size bank account we don’t have the funds to be able to do cash refunds as the money has already been spent to replace the product that was purchased. As we grow into a place where we are able to store finances into an account for the purpose of returns, it is our goal to be able to offer cash returns, but in this stage of our business we have not reached that spot yet.
