02 · The origin story
It started because shopping local was annoying.
you'd find an incredible Canadian brand on Instagram, then spend twenty minutes figuring out whether they ship, how much, and when. multiply that by every maker you wanted to support.
so we put them all in one place. one cart, one shipping fee, one pickup window. the makers get shelf space they'd never afford on their own, and you get to stop opening seventeen tabs.
that's it. that's the business.

not "distributed in Canada." owned and made here — we ask for proof, and some brands don't make the cut.

04 · Who runs it
A small team who actually shop here.
the person who packs your order is the same person who chose to put that brand on the shelf. there's no buying department, no head office, no quarterly range review.
if something's wrong you'll email us and get a human back, usually the same day, usually with an actual solution rather than a policy number. walk into the Chilliwack shop and you can complain in person — we'd honestly prefer it.
the team doesn't churn. the person who helped you find a gift two years ago is probably still here, and probably still remembers what you bought.
every product on this site has been unboxed, handled and argued about by someone on the team. if we wouldn't give it to a friend, it doesn't get a listing.

Doors open in Langley
the first shop opens in Langley with a stack of Canadian brands and a fairly stubborn opinion about big box retail.
2020
Chilliwack opens
a second location on Yale Road, opened in the least convenient year retail has ever had. it's the one that stuck.
2023
Focus, on purpose
over 2023 and 2024 the South Surrey store and the warehouse close. fewer locations run properly beats more of them run thin.
